Trogir, getting lost between stone and the Adriatic
🧭 INTRO
I thought I would just walk through a small street…
and somehow, I ended up getting lost in the entire old town of Trogir.
Between the stone walls, narrow passages and small squares,
every turn reveals something new.
Here, you don’t really visit…
you just let yourself drift.
🌊 The harbor and the first steps
From the very beginning, the harbor sets the tone.
Between the boats and the stone façades, Trogir instantly blends sea and history.
This is often where everything begins… without really knowing where you're going.
🏛️ A UNESCO-listed old town
Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997,
Trogir is one of the best-preserved medieval towns on the Croatian coast.
Behind every wall and every alley, you can feel that history is still alive.
🧱 Getting lost in the streets
It’s in the small streets that Trogir reveals its true charm.
Narrow passages, arches, stones shaped by time…
and that constant feeling of discovering something hidden.
Here, the best plan… is to have none.
🌴 A lively yet relaxed atmosphere
Between squares, terraces and small shops,
the town keeps a balance between energy and calm.
You stop, you look around, you take your time.
🏰 Between fortress and heritage
The walls and towers remind us that Trogir was once a strategic city.
Today, they mostly offer a unique setting…
and a true feeling of traveling through time.
